Everybody in my school knows Leo. If you look at him, you might think he is a basketball star. He is very tall, has broad shoulders, and he always wears expensive sports shoes and baggy tracksuits. He looks like someone who spends hours in the gym. However, appearances can be tricky.

The truth is, Leo hates any kind of physical activity. He gets tired just walking up the stairs to our classroom! While other boys play football during breaks, Leo prefers sitting alone under a tree. Because of this, many students believe he is a shy and unsociable person. But that is completely wrong. He simply likes observing others and listening to their conversations. He has a very analytical mind.

What nobody knows is that Leo has a very unusual hobby for a teenage boy. Every afternoon, instead of playing video games or sports, he stays in his room and knits. Yes, he makes sweaters, scarves, and hats with colourful wool! He is incredibly patient and creative. Last winter, he gave me a beautiful, warm sweater for my birthday. He told everyone in our class that he bought it in an expensive shop downtown. He just didn't want the other boys to laugh at his soft heart and unusual skill. I am the only one who knows the truth, and I think his secret talent makes him the most unique friend I could ever have.
